Martial Arts Summer Camp in Toronto

VRTU’s Action Packed Martial Arts Summer Camp allows your children to release all their energy in a positive way – through daily Muay Thai lessons, educational games, outdoor activities, baking, and whacky arts and crafts. Non-stop action and learning – in a fun and positive way!

Different themed weeks allows for a variety of activities – from Ninja Obstacle Challenges, to Lego Volcanos, bouncy castles, stunt acting choreography, and build your own business marketplace. You can be sure your child will be engaged and excited throughout the entire day! Sorry parents – they may not want to leave!

This year, due to Covid-19, camp might look a little different, however we are still committed to our same great programming and quality instruction. Give your children the opportunity to be active and creative, while still staying safe.

Yet, behind all this fun - children will be learning a new martial art, developing their confidence and teamwork skills, and learning how to become young leaders. Led by engaging, passionate, and experienced staff and instructors, activities are focused on creativity, collaboration, and character development. Your child will end camp feeling proud of their new accomplishments and their new friendships!

Frequently Asked Questions

As of June 11, the government has announced that Day Camps will be permitted to run in Toronto. We are happy to play our part in reintroducing camp programming this year - giving children an opportunity for some physical activity, and (socially distanced) fun; while giving parents a much-needed break!

Your child's safety is our #1 priority. We will be offering the same great programming, and high quality Muay Thai instruction (with a little twist). Here are some measures we will be taking:

  • Social distancing at all times (each child will have their own designated seating area, eating area, and workout area, 6ft apart).
  • Students will bring their own supplies (pencils, markers, etc).  All special materials used for camp projects will be prepared and placed in bins for children in advance (to avoid any cross-contamination and touching of the same surfaces).
  • Staff and student temperatures will be taken at the beginning of each day. Parents will be required to sign off that their child is neither sick, nor experiencing symptoms of COVID-19.
  • Increased staffing to ensure optimal cleaning and disinfecting throughout the day.  Staff will wear appropriate PPE and receive training on new cleaning measures.
  • Socially-distanced outdoor workouts, activities, and camp games (time to get a little creative!)

This is just a little glimpse into what you can expect in light of COVID-19. If you would like some more information about the efforts we are taking, please do not hesitate to email us at hello@vrtu.ca.

  • You can do so by clicking the links above for the appropriate week(s). You will then be prompted to create an account for yourself through our Mindbody software, fill in contact information and submit payment. A VRTU staff member will then be in touch via email and send you a more detailed registration form for your child, including emergency contact info, any allergies, and/or medical conditions.

  • You can also register by giving us a call at 416-482-2222 or emailing hello@vrtu.ca.
  • Children should be equipped with a lunch and 2 snacks per day (we have to keep those energy levels up!). No nuts, please.
  • Camp tshirts are mandatory during all outdoor excursions. Camp t-shirts are included in the price of camp registration.
  • A change of workout clothes to participate in the martial arts lessons.
  • A reusable bottle of water, sunscreen, hat, and weather appropriate clothing.

Following registration, parents will receive a more detailed breakdown of what to expect each day, and a more comprehensive list of what to bring. Should you have any more questions, we are always available to chat - feel free to give us a shout at 416-482-2222!
