One of the main misconceptions of Muay Thai Kickboxing is that it is a brutal sport, intimidating, and too intense. We often hear people say they “need to get in shape” before trying a class, or that they “don’t want to get hurt”.
The purpose of this page is to break that stigma. Now, more than ever, Muay Thai is used as a way to stay in shape, gain discipline, and learn self-defense. It is a way of working out - where you are able to get a sweat in while learning a new skill. At the end - you feel empowered, accomplished, and totally hardcore!
While competing is definitely an option, it is by no means necessary. VRTU has classes for all ages and fitness levels. Majority of classes incorporate Muay Thai, while some are strictly fitness based.
