Your First Step into Muay Thai Classes for Beginners

Whether your goal is to immerse yourself in Muay Thai training, lose weight, or join an awesome community, our Muay Thai classes for beginners at VRTU have got you covered!

A common misconception is that Muay Thai Kickboxing is brutal, intimidating, or too intense. Many people feel they “need to get in shape” first or worry about getting hurt - but our beginner-friendly classes are designed to be safe, welcoming, and fun for everyone.

At VRTU, we aim to break the stigma around Muay Thai. Our Muay Thai classes for beginners are designed to help you stay in shape, gain discipline, and learn self-defense, all while having fun. This beautiful sport provides a full-body workout and teaches new skills At the end - you totally feel empowered, accomplished, and energized!

While competition is an option, it’s by no means required. VRTU offers classes for all ages and fitness levels, with most classes focusing on Muay Thai and some dedicated solely to fitness.

Here is What You Need to Know

Quick Checklist

Uniform

Please bring a comfortable pair of workout clothes, towel, and a bottle of water. Should you choose to continue, uniform is mandatory.

Time

Arrive 15 minutes early to sign in and get changed.

Gear

If you own bag gloves or hand wraps, bring them with you - otherwise, you can purchase some at the gym.

Cost

The fee for your first adults class is $15. We always have promos for first-time students, so be sure to ask about it when you come in!

Shoes

Indoor shoes are a must for all fitness classes in the FIT Room. Muay Thai is done barefoot in the FIGHT Room.
